Alexandra Fau has gathered eight artists who present works
which were based on the textile material.
Subtil Textile is a contemporary art exhibition
which intends to give all their due to textile
fabrics, in all kinds of shapes. Whether flexible,
vibrant, tense, scratched, divided up or invisible,
the thread is used by selected artists as any other
artistic medium.
Formerly associated with the pattern of the
cloth, the thread proves to be a privileged
material for artists. Both fragile and robust,
precious and sensuous, it is here the medium
and the subject of the work of art.
